East Bunachton Woodland is situated in a very accessible and scenic part of Inverness-shire, just 5 miles south of Inverness via the B861 public road, in an area known as Bunachton. The property is located on the plateau between Loch Bunachton and the U1096 single track public road running along the western boundary. Most of the timber crop was felled over the past year, extending to approximately 45.34 hectares/112.03 acres leaving two small areas of Scots and Lodgepole pine long term retention amounting to approximately 3.87 hectares / 9.56 acres. As with lot 1, replanting has been approved through the LTFP for mainly high yielding Sitka spruce which can be completed over the next couple of years.
